Katherine J. Wimmer, CFA President
Prior to founding Wimmer Associates, Kathy was a principal at a local advisory firm providing investment counseling to individuals, family groups, foundations and endowments. She previously served as a portfolio manager and vice president at Payden & Rygel Investment Counsel in Los Angeles advising both institutions and individuals on fixed income accounts. Kathy began her investment career at the Wall Street firm of Warburg Paribas Becker in 1980 and held an equity analyst position at William O'Neil and Company. She holds an MBA degree from The Darden School, University of Virginia and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She is active in the Pasadena community serving as past chairs on the Planned Giving Advisory Council of the Huntington Memorial Hospital, the Estate Planning Council of San Gabriel Valley and the Pasadena Public Library Commission. She was also a founding board member of Bloom Again Foundation. Kathy is a current board member and treasurer of The Friends of the Pasadena Public Library.

Warren R. Wimmer, MSFS Energy and Banking Analyst
Warren graduated cum laude from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1979 with a B.A. in Political Science. He received the M.S. in Foreign Service award at Georgetown University in 1983 with an emphasis on energy and natural resources. Warren co-authored the World Bank volume, Attracting Foreign Investment in Lesser Developed Countries. Returning to his native California, Warren had a fifteen year career in international banking. Warren is a past president of the Alliance for Housing and Healing/Serra Project and the current treasurer of Global Leaders Assembly Foundation.

Kathryn B. Kenney Vice President of Operations
Kate was previously with the investment firm of Metropolitan West where she managed the trade compliance department for ten years. Before Metropolitan West, Kate held managerial positions in operations and administration for both Prudential Securities and Thomson McKinnon Securities. She is responsible for the day to day operations of Wimmer Associates, including compliance, trading, and reporting, and with over twenty years of experience in the securities industry is a valuable resource for our clients. Kate attended local schools, including Alverno Heights Academy and the University of California at Los Angeles. She currently serves on the boards of Mater Dolorosa and Social Service Auxiliary.

Ellen J. Ceaser, CFA Research Analyst
Ellen brings over twenty-five years of investment experience to Wimmer Associates. Prior to joining Wimmer Associates, she was a vice president and director of equity research at ML Stern & Co. Previously, Ellen held positions as an equity analyst at Crowell Weedon & Company, William O’Neil & Co. and PSFS (The Philadelphia Savings Fund Society). In addition, she was an external researcher providing equity investment ideas for Friess Associates, the managers of the Brandywine Funds. She began her investment career at Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company in Philadelphia doing private placement bond offerings. Ellen graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1974 with a B.S. in Business Administration and received her MBA in Finance from Drexel University in 1978. She earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1983.

Jan R. Wimmer Portfolio Manager
Jan oversees all aspects of the portfolio management process from market research to implementing transactions. He develops and maintains the firm's analytical software programs. Jan majored in Political Science with a focus on international relations at Tulane University in New Orleans. A debater in high school and college, Jan continues his passion for the sport by judging at state and national tournaments.

Robert W. Templeton, CFA Senior Adviser
Bob is a forty-year veteran of the investment management business. He spent the first twenty–two years at Scudder, Stevens and Clark, the last three as a managing director. Bob spent the next eight at George D. Bjurman and Associates as an executive vice president, and the next ten as president of his own firm, RWT Investment Advisers. He has had extensive experience with many types of institutional and individual client relationships. Bob has a B.A. from Carleton College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Bob is a member of Town Hall and The World Affairs Council and is a member of the Board of Councilors of the Phi Beta Kappa Society of Southern California.
